Edi is a Swiss-born pioneer of Indonesian diving and the maker and owner of Indonesia’s first liveaboard, the MV Pindito. He was among the first to explore and film the waters of Raja Ampat, realizing its significance as a unique marine ecosystem.

Edi’s extensive film work covers not only Raja Ampat but the entirety of Indonesia's vast archipelago. His dedication to documenting marine life has culminated in a major project, The GrandBlueProject, which compiles years of underwater knowledge and footage. Through his pioneering efforts, Edi has significantly contributed to the understanding and conservation of Indonesia's marine biodiversity
