PETER PARKS
The major ingredient that have prompted the coming together of all these ideas and the contributory international talents that have promised cooperative contribution to our projects, is the remarkable fifty five year pictorial and research marine and freshwater archive from Peter Parks, co-founder of Oxford Scientific Films and more recently, Image Quest 3-D Ltd.
Whilst Peter actively works day in day out to make the goals of this project a reality, over a 55 year career filming some of the smallest creatures in our oceans, Peter and his company Image Quest have amassed arguably the largest recording of planktonic and larval organisms. This contribution is the foundation of the archive, tying together practically every organism in our precious ocean ecosystems, and every contribution from this incredible team.
Peter’s Oscar and two Technical awards from the American Academy of Film and Television attests to his prowess within this huge industry and it is the product of that experience and creative ingenuity that our projects have inherited.
